The CoreLogic UK team have been at it again. After a successful stint last Autumn helping Northleigh House School, one of our chosen charities based in Warwickshire, with grounds maintenance including gardening and renewing the external spaces used by students, we decided to offer our services again this summer, but on an even bigger scale!
Much to the delight of Viv who founded Northleigh in 2012, this time CoreLogic decided to undertake the huge task of repainting the exterior masonry and woodwork of the main school building which is over 100 years old.
Teams from across the UK business got involved, including our Solihull and London based employees. The project kicked off on the 3rd August with the all-important preparatory work including cleaning down the walls of the house, laying down protective sheets and covering windows/doors. This was soon followed by the BIG paint job, with small teams on site each day repainting the masonry and woodwork until the job was completed on the 30th August and ready for the new school term! The project was overseen by Mark the builder and Mike the site manager, who were on hand every day to assist our teams of volunteers.
We are also extremely grateful to the local businesses who offered their support to this project through supply of materials. We could not have done this without them!
As you can imagine Viv and the team at Northleigh are over the moon with the overall look of the building and the essential work needed to protect it against the elements for years to come.
Comment from Northleigh House School: “We are so very grateful to Jim and his fantastic employees for putting in so much effort over the holidays and making Northleigh fit for purpose for the next decade at least.”
Enabling our employees to use volunteer paid time off from their day jobs is a fantastic way we can give back to our local communities and important causes like Northleigh House School. CoreLogic Cares, is a day of service that allows us to make a collective impact.
We’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to all those who volunteered and supported such a worthwhile project that will have a legacy for years to come.
