Job Description:

The Role

Reporting to the Development Manager, the post holder will be responsible for designing and developing a range of new functionality and enhancements for new products. They will also be responsible for guiding, shaping and influencing the way in which the software solutions are designed and developed. This will include researching new tools and technologies. We operate an agile software delivery model including daily stand-ups with the team. The post holder will work closely with internal teams to ensure the software development runs smoothly.

The role will suit an articulate, self-driven and eager to learn individual who has a desire to progress their career and enter an influential role with the opportunity to supervise Junior members of the team.

The post holder could be an experienced software developer looking to progress their career to the next stage or someone looking to take a lead role within a well-established team where they will have the opportunity to shape the team and mentor junior members. The post holder will become part of a large team of software developers therefore an ability to integrate with others is crucial.

We look for evidence of a keen interest in working with Microsoft, an aptitude for problem solving and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Job Qualification:

Skills and experience required

  • Extensive experience working with the .NET framework (C#)
  • Experience of using and desire to use Angular JS (6)
  • Experience of developing using ASP.NET / MVC (ideally ASP.NET Core)
  • Experience working with platforms and tools such as GIT or TFS
  • Experience of using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Ability to adapt to working with several programming languages
  • An interest in working within an agile software development team
