During the month of May, colleagues from around the globe, including the UK, participated in the annual CoreLogic Cares Day. This special day of volunteering enables paid time off for colleagues to make a collective impact by giving back to local communities and charities.
Activities this year included painting, gardening, maintenance and caring at various animal retreats across the UK including Cramar Cat Sanctuary, the Greyhound Trust, Retreat Animal Rescue Sanctuary and Daybreaks Trust. Some colleagues participated in litter picking at various locations to support Keep Britain Tidy initiatives, while others dedicated their time to sorting through donations at local charity shops.
Some volunteers went back to Northleigh House School in Warwickshire, a charity CoreLogic have worked closely with for a number of years. They got stuck in with various tasks including decorating, gardening and deep cleaning! Andy from Northleigh House School had this to say:
“CoreLogic continued their very generous support for the school over half term to help make a big difference for when the student return. The Cookery Room received a much needed deep clean, which involved a lot of back breaking hands and knees scrubbing. Two of the external classrooms received a transformational makeover and the lawned areas look a million times better! A really hard working team, but better still they were great fun to work with! Thank you!”
All this effort combined is extremely rewarding and has contributed to a productive month of community involvement. A BIG thank you to everyone who has devoted their time and effort this month to these wonderful causes!
