As part of our emphasis to ensure that we are providing the best level of service and ongoing support to customers using our PAS software or Retrofit Coordination Services, we’ve recently introduced some new customer focused initiatives.

What we’ve learnt by speaking to customers, is a big part of our support is being able to speak or correspond directly with our Retrofit Coordination Team. We are very proud of the team we’ve built to date and the wealth of experience they bring.
Our team currently consists of 24 people, who are either in Retrofit Coordination or Compliance roles. Most have come from a background within Energy and ECO and between them have an impressive 125 years industry experience.
Previous positions held have included Domestic Energy Assessors, Property Surveyors, Commercial Energy Assessors, Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators, Installers, Engineers, Compliance Analysts, Auditors and Professional Trainers.
Some of the team have worked for Local Authorities, Energy and Utility Firms and also Independent Installation Companies, bringing a diverse wealth of experience from across the industry.
Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to some of our colleagues from the team, so that you can get to know them a little better and put faces to the names of the people that you might speak to over the phone.
This week (w/c 14 Feb) we’d like to introduce…
James Scott is a Retrofit Coordinator with us and while he is newer to the industry with a year of experience, he has plenty of relevant skills.
His qualifications include a Retrofit Coordinator Level 5 Diploma, Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings Level 3 Award and he also holds a BSc in IT Business Systems. He also has experience with 3 years of Project Management in addition to 15 years of Management and Customer service.
His professional trade body memberships are with Trustmark and ecmk.
Interesting Fact about James
James lived on a narrowboat for 2 years and relied heavily on solar PV to power all the internals. He was very aware of energy gains, usage and the luxury of having it!
This week (w/c 7 Feb) we’d like to introduce…
Che Olbinson works in our team as a Retrofit Coordinator with an impressive 25 years’ of experience in compliance and 10 years’ in the industry.
He has gathered experience as a DEA, Loft & Cavity Surveyor and BG Energy Expert on top of Eon Sales and Green Home Surveys. He also holds qualifications as a DEA, Retrofit Assessor, Rating Surveyor and Airport Security Qualification. He intends to pass on the array of knowledge he has gained from a variety of jobs and life experiences, perhaps in a training capacity.
His professional trade body memberships are held with Elmhurst, ecmk and Qudos.
Interesting Fact about Che
Che travelled Europe and the middle east when he was younger and ended up working on a Kibbutz in Israel as a volunteer. He considers it to be one of the best experiences he’s ever had.
This week (w/c 31 Jan) we’d like to introduce…
Vincent Brissenden works as a Retrofit Coordinator here at CoreLogic UK. He has 2 years of experience in compliance and 12 years of industry experience overall.
Vincent has worked as a DEA, GDEA, New Build (SAP), Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator. He also has experience starting and running his own business specialising in Energy Assessments and carrying out small energy efficiency construction works in existing dwellings.
He has trained to obtain certifications for a Retrofit Coordinator Level 5 Diploma, On-Construction Level 3 Diploma, Domestic Energy Assessor (full SAP), Green Deal Domestic Energy Level 3 Diploma and Domestic Energy Assessments Level 3 Diploma.
Vincent also holds professional trade body memberships including Stroma, Elmhurst and ecmk.

Angela works as a Retrofit Coordinator within our team. She has worked in the Energy industry for 12 years and has assessed every type of building that you can imagine from tiny cottages to huge office blocks across the country.
Angela holds a variety of qualifications, she is a certified DEA, NDEA, Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator. Additionally, she has a Level 3 Traditional Buildings Qualification.

Double trouble – Angela is a twin! She is also a very keen golfer with a handicap of 18.

Matt is one of our Retrofit Coordinators and has more than 8 years of Energy Industry experience, of which, several years were gained as a Gas Safe Service and Repair Engineer.
His certifications comprise of a Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator, Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings, Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor with Retrofit Assessor supplement. Additionally, Matt holds Gas Safe certification for all appliances, pipework and meters, water regulations, LPG and unvented cylinders. His professional trade body memberships are with Trustmark, ECMK, Gas Safe and NiCEiC.

Matt also holds a BA (Hons) in Film obtained at Falmouth University in Cornwall and Towson University, MD U.S.A. In his spare time Matt can be found with a guitar, camera or cat in hand.
This week (w/c 10 Jan) we’d like to introduce…
Ellie is a Team Leader and Retrofit Coordinator with 12 years of industry experience in our team.
She has gained experience by working as an Auditor, Energy Advisor, Trainer and Assessor for DEAs and EPCs. She has also worked on the large scale loft and cavity scheme with a Local Authority as well as solar PV and fuel poverty schemes with environmental charities.
Her qualifications include DEA, Retrofit Coordinator, Legionella, A1 Assessor and a Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings. Her current training involves understanding building conservation, understanding and treatment of damp in buildings, City and Guilds Energy Awareness and Fuel Debt in the Community. Ellie is very passionate about lifting people out of fuel poverty.

Steve Maclean works on our team as a Retrofit Coordinator. He has 3 years of compliance experience and his industry experience includes 1 year in DEA and assessing as well as 15 years in estate agency covering residential sales, lettings and commercial and business transfer. Steve has worked as both a Domestic Energy Assessor and a Retrofit Assessor.
His qualifications include a Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment, Level 3 Certificate in Retrofit Assessment, Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings and a Level 5 Certificate in Retrofit Coordination. Steve is also TrustMark Approved and has professional trade body memberships with ecmk, Elmhurst and Stroma.
Interesting Fact about Steve
Steve has a wide variety of skills and hobbies! He is also a website designer, Parish Councillor and trustee of a charity that runs and maintains a Passivehaus built village hall. Additionally, in his spare time he enjoys photographing local wildlife which includes approximately 200 wild fallow deer and taking aerial images with his drone.

Jake Orange is a Retrofit Coordinator on our team. He has 7 years compliance experience and 2 years experience working within the energy industry.
His industry experience includes working as a Domestic Energy Assessor, Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator. Prior to moving into Domestic Energy and Retrofit, he also worked as a rating and valuation surveyor for 5 years.
Jake has a Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management, a Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment and a Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Older and Traditional Buildings. Furthermore, he holds professional trade body memberships with ecmk, Elmhurst and Trustmark.

Darryl Dyson is one of our Retrofit Coordinators. He has 2 years of experience as a commercial surveyor, as well as being a qualified Retrofit Coordinator and more recently completing training to become a qualified DEA. Darryl also has a Degree in Law with Management (LLB).

Between competing and training in MMA for the past 13 years. Darryl also loves to go on long hikes with his pet dogs and leads a pretty active lifestyle!

Claire is one of our experienced Compliance Analysts having worked in various compliance roles over the last 7 years. Claire has worked within Energy Services spanning a total of 15 years, roles which have included Personal Assistant to Head of Energy Services, Finance Administration and an ECO Specialist within a Compliance team.
Interesting fact about Claire
Back in 1999 Claire was looking for a change of scenery and decided to sell her house and travel the world for 11 months. A bold decision, but not one she regrets, as it was an adventure of a lifetime!

Hannah is one of our Compliance Analysts who joined the team 3 months ago. Hannah has a background working in compliance, for the private and public education sector. She has worked as an Senior Compliance Officer and Exam Invigilator, roles which ensure that controls, compliance and regulation are maintained to the highest standards.

Hannah likes to climb mountains and in her free time has managed to reach the top of Snowdon, Pen Y Fan and is taking on Scafell and Ben Nevis in the new year!
This week (w/c 22 Nov) we’d like to introduce…
Chris is one of our Retrofit Coordinators with 13 years industry experience. He is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessors and Retrofit Coordinator.
Chris has had previous experience as an installer and team leader for the installation of various insulation measures such as cavity wall, loft and underfloor insulation. He has also worked on Welsh Government schemes and fuel poverty initiatives, installing new boilers and insulation measures across Wales. On top of this, Chris has also spent a lot of time travelling around the UK carrying out technical monitoring, site inspections and work in progress reports for various companies such as the British Assessment Bureau.
Chris has a City & Guilds in Building Treatment for Cavity and Loft Insulation and is an OSCAR-onsite accredited Cavity Wall Extraction Inspector.

Chris is an avid car enthusiast, hobbyist car mechanic and engineer. In other words, if it’s got an engine, Chris is interested!

Nigel has over 25 years of compliance experience covering a number of quality assurance and ISO standards, such as: ISO9001, 14001, 27001, OHSAS 18001, PAS2030, MCS, CHAS and UVDB Verify.
His industry experience covers Mechanical and Electrical Design, Civil Engineering, Tunnelling / Trenchless Technology, Utilities, Solar PV, Biomass, Property Renovation, Energy / ECO.
Nigel’s professional qualifications include B.Eng, Msc, PgDip, CMktrCIM and Tech IOSH and he’s also a qualified Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator.
Interesting fact about Nigel
Nigel has worked throughout UK, Europe, Middle East and Far East on Civils and Tunnelling Projects. In his spare time he is a mad guitarist and guitar collector!
