Green Deal and ECO Installer App ready for launch

5th March 2013

We are launching the last component of our Green Deal and ECO software suite in March. eTech’s GD and ECO Installer App helps to close the loop in the reporting obligations for the ECO qualifying measures and ensures the Green Deal Providers and Energy Suppliers have all the information relating to the installation.

The management of ECO reporting requirements to Ofgem is of central importance to Energy Suppliers. In short, if Ofgem’s reporting requirements in relation to installed ECO qualifying measure are not met, the Energy Supplier is unable to claim the carbon saving generated by the measure against their ECO targets. This means that the data collected both during the assessment of a property and following the installation of measures needs to be accurate, consistent and verifiable. Our Green Deal and ECO App is available to support the assessment of measures, and for calculating their all-important lifetime cost and carbon savings. The Installer App is used post-installation by the installer to obtain the following key data:

  • Customer satisfaction Certificate – confirms the date of installation and the customer’s satisfaction with the install.
  • PAS 2030 details – confirms compliance with guideline for installing measures.
  • Allows installer to confirm the actual specification of the installed measure.

The Installer App enables an accredited installer to collect the mandatory information relating to the installation of qualifying ECO measures. On submission from the iPad, this data is passed automatically to the Green Deal Provider via SMART Property Hub or direct to the Energy Supplier’s ECO reporting tool, ECO Hub. ECO hub enables the Energy Company to check and validate all the data received from an installer or Green Deal Provider and to manage the resolution of queries in the data provided. When measures have been validated by the Energy Supplier, they can be reported to Ofgem from ECO Hub. The Installer App is key in ensuring there are no gaps in the information provided to the Energy Supplier.
